You’re not a real golfer until you have at least one bird polo in your closet. And it doesn't matter if you've never heard of the Scarlet Ibis bird. All you need to know is this: our red feathered friend is the national bird of Trinidad and Tobago, the same country where the limbo dance was invented, a contest that celebrates the lost art of lowering the bar, which is why we call the Scarlet Ibis our patron bird of lower expectations. Yeah, that's right ... we're calling for a national bar lowering (brain surgeons and pilots excluded). 

Do fewer pushups, take more mulligans, and leave the bed unmade. And by God, let failure be an option. May you wear your new polo as a soft reminder to let go and keep leaning back until you're happily staring up at a blue sky and your pulse is beating slower than a Buddhist nun.
